The geographical area of service of Women Empowerment and Development Organisation (WEDO) shall initially be the United Kingdom.

Subject to trustee approval, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, appropriate governance arrangements, safeguarding requirements, financial controls, and satisfactory due diligence procedures, WEDO may, in the future, extend its activities to underdeveloped and developing countries where such activities further the charity’s objects and are carried out transparently, responsibly and for the public benefit.

Where WEDO operates outside the United Kingdom, it shall, where appropriate, work in partnership with properly registered and duly vetted organisations. The charity shall maintain appropriate oversight, written partnership agreements, safeguarding standards, financial monitoring arrangements and compliance controls to ensure that all activities are delivered lawfully, effectively and accountably.
